Sad story
I was standing there waiting when suddenly a car crashed on
me. I was waiting for you, to be picked up for our dinner. As the car made
contact with my fragile body, the only thing playing in my head was you. All
our memories came out like a movie trailer in my head as my body was flying in
the air before I fell on the roadside.
As my body reached the hard road, I heard all around but I
couldn’t move my body. My body landed on a heap of the road and I could feel
blood coming out from my ears. The driver stepped out of the car and came to
me. I felt so weak and my ears seemed like they were closing slowly.
“I’m sorry”, the man cried out to me. I blacked out.
After what felt like being a century, I finally came out
with my senses. Brief images of what had happened to me just now were playing
like a movie. I could see a car losing control and crashed me. But then I was
thinking of the things that I would miss after this. My High School Graduation,
getting married, having children, and then I was thinking of you. Your sweet
smile, your soft hair and your voice. It formed a lump in my throat and the
pain of the accident sank in. I screamed out in pain.
I saw the ambulance nearby and the paramedics were right
beside me. My blood formed a pond near my body on the road. I was still
bleeding, I realized that I was just having a terrible accident. People were
rushing here and there. Everything was
like in a slow motion. I slowly stared left and right, hoping to see you, as if
it was the last chance for me.
Then I saw my mother passing through the paramedics. She was
crying. She lifted up my head to hold me on her chest as she silently swept. I
was crying, but there was something blocking my tears from bursting out. Blood
came out from my eyes. Things happened so fast in that five minutes.
As the paramedics tried to put me on a stretcher, I
whispered, ”Wait…”. I saw your car by the ambulance. You stepped out of your
car, I felt so happy. I saw you passing through the people and suddenly a
paramedic stopped you and said something that I couldn’t hear. Then you reached
my body knelt down on your knees. I saw tears streaming out your face and then
you said “I love you”. You told me that I would be alright. I was just smiling
and I knew what the truth was.
The paramedics lifted me up onto stretcher and put me inside
an ambulance. My mother was crying beside me. I could hear the ambulance siren
and we were heading to the hospital.
“Hold on dear! Please hold on!” my mother said to me while a
paramedic hold her on her shoulder to calm her down.
The ambulance stopped and we arrived at the hospital. They
put me on the wheeled-bed and took me into the hospital. You were there pushing
my wheel-bed together with the nurses my heart skipped a beat when you said “I
love you”. I was so happy that you were beside me. I realised that my final
seconds were passing then I said “I love you too, don’t forget me” but it only
came out as a whisper. Then I closed my eyes.
